Trumpet Local 5-Step Campaign FAQ’s

Do your customers compete against each other in the same town?

There are a lot of local businesses and a lot of towns out there. But this is the question everyone asks, so we’ve created a company policy around it:
Trumpet Local Media will not offer its paid services to more than three (3) active customers (under contract) concurrently in any one municipality.
Exceptions may be made for the few high-density urban centers, such as Manhattan, where competition is at a maximum. The spirit of this policy is affirm our commitment to the best results possible for our customers.

Does my business need a website for your campaign to be effective?

Yes. Top rankings are generally given to businesses that search engines trust. A primary trust-factor is having a website that includes relevant content to the categories selected. Also, having accurate business location information on your website is important.

Will you be optimizing my website?

No. The Trumpet Local 5-Step Campaign is not traditional Website Search Engine Optimization (SEO). More accurately, the service we provide is called Local Search Optimization. And while we are doing that for you, you will receive expert recommendations on how to optimize your website for your businesses local service area. Additional SEO implementation is available for websites built with Wordpress for an additional fee.

If I am listed near the top on Google, how long will I stay there?

There are many factors affecting these listings which we are not in control of. It is impossible to anticipate what efforts your competition is undertaking to achieve top rankings as well. Also, Google’s ranking algorithm may change at any time. That’s why continuous efforts and monitoring over time are important to maintain high positions. We do know that a frequently updated listing appears to be more relevant and credible to Google, thus earning higher local search positioning.

My company has multiple stores in one city. Which locations will be listed most prominently?

Google defines the geo-targeted city center and most prominently displays the store that is closest to that location. However, many people use specific modifiers when searching locally, such as neighborhood names and zip codes. Each specific store location would be optimized for the specific area in the city.
